What You'll Do:
- Deliver safe and effective anesthesia care for adult patients and select pediatric cases in general, neurosurgical, and sedation/MAC settings
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Conduct preoperative assessments and provide patient education
- Administer anesthesia, manage ventilation, and oversee regional blocks under physician supervision
- Respond swiftly to emergencies and monitor patients throughout procedures
- Document care accurately using Epic EMR and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Work flexible day shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours, with no on-call or weekend duties
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current NBCRNA certification with active state license (cannot be pending)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum of several years of CRNA experience; not suitable for new graduates
- Proven ability to manage adult and limited pediatric anesthesia cases
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in a Level 1 trauma center or similar high-acuity setting
- Familiarity with Epic EMR or similar documentation systems
- Ability to handle complex anesthesia cases including neurosurgical procedures
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Graduate degree in Nursing with specialization in anesthesia (CRNA)
- Significant clinical experience in surgical anesthesia
- Previous locum or hospital-based anesthesia experience preferred
Other Requirements:
- Fully licensed in Michigan or eligible for licensure; no temporary or pending licenses accepted
- Commitment to working full-time from July 1, 2026, for an estimated 90-120 days
- Mileage reimbursement at IRS standard rate; no lodging, flights, or rentals covered
- No on-call or weekend work, allowing for a predictable schedule
