Job Description

Specialty: CRNA
Practice Setting: OR/Surgery Dept - level I trauma center
Dates/Coverage Needed: Beginning ASAC (60 days) full-time preferred for 3 months with the option to extend. Offers flexible day shifts of 8's, 10's, or 12's between Monday-Friday. No night, weekend, or call requirements for this need
Support Staff/Supervision: Supervised
Case Mix:
- CRNA will manage adult patients and a limited pediatric population, including general surgery, deep sedation/MAC, neurosurgical cases, ventilation management, and oversight of physician-administered regional anesthesia.
- Deliver anesthesia care for a variety of inpatient surgical procedures, including general surgery, neurosurgical cases, and deep sedation/MAC
- Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff, including RNs, surgical technologists, and anesthesia technicians
- Provide preoperative assessments and patient education
- Administer anesthetics safely and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures
- Manage ventilation and oversee physician-administered regional anesthesia
- Respond to patient emergencies in coordination with the healthcare team
- Document patient care and anesthesia management accurately in Epic EMR
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Work day shifts only (8, 10, or 12 hours) with no on-call or weekend requirements

Credentialing Time-Frame: 60-90 days
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Active MI License: Yes
