Must be Respiratory/Critical Care experienced with procedures as this is 100% IP based
Census:
86-bed Acute Care hospital / 10 ICU beds
Procedures:
Moderate SedationLumbar Puncture
Lumbar Puncture
Endotracheal Intubation and Extubation
Paracentesis/Thoracentesis
Ventilator Management including Assessing Readiness for and Administering Respiratory Weaning/Oxygen Therapy and Extubation. Assessing need for Intubation
Chest Tube Insertion
Insertion of PICC Lines, Arterial Lines, Central Venous Lines either percutaneously or by cut down
Arterial Line Insertion and Removal (radial and femoral) – these two privileges may be the same
Tracheostomy Care including Tube Change
Management of Tension pneumothorax in Emergent Situation
External pacing including adjusting temporary epicardial, transvenous, or transcutaneous pacemaker as necessary
