North Memorial Health is seeking a highly motivated Locum NP/PA to provide vital trauma surgical support at our Level I Trauma Center in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Covering from late April to July 2026, this assignment offers the chance to collaborate with experienced trauma surgeons and deliver top-tier care to a diverse patient population. Required Skills:
  • Active NP or PA license in Minnesota or eligible for licensure
  • Proven experience in trauma hospitalist rounding, ED consults, trauma activations, and procedures
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to manage a high volume of trauma patients independently
  • Proficiency in procedures such as chest tube insertion, central lines, arterial lines, suturing, and ventilator management
  • Ability to respond promptly to trauma alerts and facilitate patient discharges
  • Competence with the EPICT EMR system
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior surgical or trauma critical care experience
  • Experience with pediatric trauma patients
  • Familiarity with non-invasive ventilation management (BiPAP/CPAP)
  • Additional procedural certifications or advanced trauma training

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in trauma or emergency care settings

Other Requirements:
  • In-house coverage with no call responsibilities; full-time availability during the assignment period
  • Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care
  • Willingness to work in a Level I trauma environment caring for patients aged 0-100+
  • Reimbursement for mileage only; no reimbursement for credentialing or application fees
