What You’ll Do

• Provide urgent care services to a diverse patient population from birth to death
• Perform procedures including suturing, I&D, bandaging, and splinting
• Evaluate and interpret point-of-care testing (COVID-19, flu, strep, urinalysis, blood glucose)
• Manage minor injuries and illnesses, including nosebleeds, foreign body removal, and burns
• Support initial emergency stabilization and airway management
• Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with team members to ensure quality patient care during busy clinic hours

What You Need
Required:

• Active NP or PA license in Virginia or willingness to obtain
• Prior outpatient or urgent care experience
• Proficiency in suturing, I&D, and point-of-care testing
• Certification in BLS

Preferred:

• Experience in outpatient or urgent care settings
• Ability to handle a high volume of patient visits comfortably

About the Assignment
This position is at a leading outpatient facility in Richmond, VA, covering multiple sites across the area. The provider will deliver urgent care services in a fast-paced environment, seeing anywhere from 25 to 50 patients daily, depending on the location and season. The role emphasizes procedural skills, rapid assessment, and treatment, supporting a variety of minor urgent conditions and injuries.
