Location: Springfield Regional Medical Center, Springfield, OH
Start Date: 08/24/2026
End Date: 09/18/2026 (with potential extension)
Shift: Mon–Fri 8 am–5 pm; Floor call/beeper 3 pm–7 am; 24-hour onsite support on weekends
Hours/week: Approximately 40+ hours
Employment Type: Locum, Contract
Certifications: Ohio State License, ACLS, BLS (if applicable)
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in cardiothoracic/vascular surgery preferred

What You’ll Do
Manage post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular patients
Perform emergency surgery procedures and assist in operative cases
Take patient consultations and referrals from ED, Cath Lab, and hospital providers
Harvest veins during heart surgeries and assist in vascular tissue retrieval
Write prescriptions and coordinate ongoing patient care plans
Interpret tests and order diagnostic procedures
Document patient encounters in Epic EMR system
What You Need Required:
Ohio Nurse Practitioner license in good standing
Experience in cardiothoracic or vascular surgery (minimum 2 years preferred)
Ability to handle post-op care, emergency procedures, and surgical assistance
Strong team collaboration and communication skills
Preferred:
Previous hospital-based or inpatient experience in a Level 2 trauma setting
Bilingual abilities or additional certifications (if applicable)
