What Youll Do
- Provide advanced practice coverage for general surgery patients in a hospital call setting
- Manage adult general surgery cases, including trauma overnight responsibilities
- Perform/assist with required procedures including:
- Central line insertion
- Chest tube insertion
- Vascular access device support
- Participate in inpatient trauma call coverage overnight as part of the surgical response
- Coordinate care using the facilitys EHR: Cerner
- Work onsite during scheduled hours 7pm7am
What You Need
Required
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure/certifications not specified in job order (must be in good standing)
- Ability to provide care for adult general surgery and trauma patients
- Competency with central lines, chest tubes, and vascular access devices (as required by assignment)
Preferred
- Experience working in an inpatient hospital setting with overnight coverage
- Familiarity with Cerner (preferred but not stated as required)
