What You’ll Do

• Provide urgent care services to a diverse patient population from birth to elderly
• Manage acute presentations, including lacerations, I&D, and airway stabilization
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as EKGs, X-Rays, and point-of-care testing
• Conduct minor procedures including splinting, casting, and foreign body removal
• Document thoroughly in Epic EMR, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards
• Collaborate with team members and specialists as needed to deliver comprehensive care
• Prioritize patient safety, comfort, and high-quality service in a fast-paced environment

What You Need

Required:

• Valid Virginia Nurse Practitioner license
• BLS certification
• At least 2 years of urgent care or emergency department experience
• Strong procedural skills (e.g., laceration repair, I&D, splinting)
• Excellent communication and clinical judgment skills

Preferred:

• Experience with pediatric urgent care populations
• Ability to handle high patient volumes and acuity with efficiency
