What You’ll Do

• Provide urgent care services to a diverse outpatient patient population
• Perform minor procedures such as laceration repairs, I&D, and splinting
• Evaluate and interpret diagnostic tests including EKGs and point-of-care labs
• Manage minor respiratory and ENT issues, including nebulizer treatments and nosebleeds
• Document all patient encounters accurately in the Epic EMR system
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure quality patient care
• Manage a patient volume of approximately 25–50 patients daily, depending on clinic needs

What You Need

• Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner license
• BLS certification
• At least 1 year of NP experience in urgent care or outpatient settings
• Skills in suturing, I&D, splinting, and diagnostic assessments
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of patient care

About the Assignment
This assignment involves working across multiple outpatient clinics in Richmond, VA. Clinics operate daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and providers will cover shifts based on patient flow and clinic needs. No call responsibilities are included. The facility specializes in episodic outpatient care, managing higher acuity cases and coordinating with higher-level care when needed.
