What You’ll Do- Conduct comprehensive eye exams for correctional facility patients
- Prescribe and fit eyewear and contact lenses
- Document patient history and exam findings accurately
- Collaborate with correctional staff and healthcare team
- Follow facility policies and adhere to safety guidelines
- Maintain timely and detailed medical records
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, certification, and facility requirements
What You Need
Required:
- Valid optometry license for South Carolina
- Relevant professional experience (check credentials with VHS)
- Ability to work in correctional healthcare environment
Preferred:
- Experience working in correctional or federal healthcare settings
- Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability
