What Youll Do- Assist with cardiovascular surgery cases (including cardiovascular/other thoracic cases as needed)
- Conduct rounds each morning and document post-op status (PA notes; sometimes shared duty with surgeons)
- Support post-operative care for a relatively small inpatient panel (typically fewer than 10 patients at a time)
- Participate in afternoon follow-up clinic at the hospital on Tuesdays and Thursdays (up to ~6 patients per clinic)
- Provide occasional support for patient issues that cant wait until the next clinic day
- Coordinate coverage during scheduled dates and shifts, including night call
- Maintain required clinical standards in a trauma center environment

About the Assignment
This locum Physician Assistant assignment supports a Level II Trauma Center cardiovascular program in Redding, CA, performing approximately 1011 heart surgeries per month and additional thoracic cases when needed.
