What You’ll Do

• Provide urgent care services including laceration repair, I&D, foreign body removal, burn management, and splinting
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as EKGs, X-ray interpretation, and point-of-care testing
• Manage minor airway emergencies and initial stabilization
• Document patient encounters thoroughly in Epic EMR
• Handle patients from birth to elderly, with varying acuity levels
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes

What You Need

• Active Virginia Physician Assistant license
• Prior experience in urgent care or emergency settings (preferred)
• Certification in BLS/ACLS
• Strong procedural skills including suturing, splinting, and I&D
• Ability to handle a high patient volume efficiently and compassionately

About the Assignment
This assignment supports multiple outpatient clinics across Richmond, VA, delivering high-quality urgent care to a diverse patient population. You’ll see approximately 25 to 50 patients daily, providing timely interventions for episodic events and minor trauma. The facility uses Epic EMR and offers full diagnostic support to enhance your workflow. The role is ideal for providers seeking flexible, impactful locum work in a community-focused environment.
