LOCUM Critical Care Physician – Boise & Nampa, Idaho

Adult Critical Care | Level II Trauma | Night Shift Coverage | Ongoing Opportunity

365 Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Critical Care Physician for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity providing inpatient ICU coverage across two Level II Trauma Centers in Boise and Nampa, Idaho. This hospital-based position offers a collaborative ICU environment supported by Advanced Practice Providers, manageable patient volumes, and the opportunity to work with Family Medicine residents. Competitive compensation, malpractice coverage, and travel and lodging coverage are provided.

Schedule

  • Ongoing locum opportunity

  • 12-hour shifts

    • Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

    • Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

  • Hospital-based inpatient ICU coverage

  • Weekend coverage included as part of the schedule

  • No call responsibilities

  • Candidates must be available to cover the required September and October coverage blocks

  • Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 60–90 days

Practice Overview

  • Adult Intensive Care Unit

  • Level II Trauma Centers

  • Inpatient ICU rounding and admissions

  • Occasional pulmonary consultations

  • Approximately 25 ICU patients on the daily census

  • Average of 5 ICU admissions per night

  • Epic EMR

  • Coverage at both Boise and Nampa locations

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Manage critically ill adult ICU patients

  • Perform ICU admissions and daily rounding

  • Provide occasional pulmonary consultations

  • Perform critical care procedures within scope of practice

  • Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers

  • Occasionally supervise Family Medicine residents

  • Participate in multidisciplinary ICU care

Support Team

  • Dedicated ICU Advanced Practice Providers

  • Family Medicine Residents

  • Multidisciplinary ICU nursing and ancillary staff

  • Collaborative hospitalist and specialty support

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine

  • Fellowship Trained in Critical Care

  • Active Idaho Medical License or Active IMLC (with Letter of Qualification)

  • ACLS Certification

  • DEA and Idaho CSR

  • Comfortable performing required critical care procedures

  • Ability to cover both required coverage blocks

  • COVID-19 vaccination required

  • Clean malpractice and background history

  • Current NPDB Self-Query required
