What You’ll Do

• Provide emergency care and routine ER duties in a high-volume department handling approximately 22,000 patient visits annually
• Evaluate and treat patients presenting with diverse medical emergencies
• Lead Code responses and critical interventions, following established protocols
• Document patient encounters using EPIC EMR with Dragon dictation (no Scribes)
• Collaborate with support staff and APP coverage to ensure seamless patient flow
• Manage patient transfers and admissions as needed
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and compassionate ER environment

What You Need
Required:

• Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) license in Iowa
• Active Iowa DEA registration
• Board Certified or Eligible in Emergency Medicine (Board Certification preferred)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• 12+ months of active emergency medicine practice or recent completion of residency
• Experience with EPIC EMR system

Preferred:

• Prior experience with codes and resuscitations in ER settings
• Ability to handle routine ER procedures and documentation efficiently
