Are you a skilled Gastroenterologist looking for a rewarding locum opportunity in the vibrant city of Lakewood, Colorado? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Locum Physician to provide critical cover for our top-tier gastroenterology services at St. Anthony Hospital. What Youll Do:
- Deliver comprehensive inpatient gastroenterology care, including procedures such as ERCP, EUS, endoscopy, and managing GI bleeding and complex GI issues.
- Collaborate with a team supporting adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients in a Level 1 Trauma setting.
- Participate in 24-hour call shifts, with a schedule of 5-7 days per month, providing critical coverage during holidays and weekends.
- Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient management.
- Support hospital initiatives by filling coverage gaps during summer and early 2025.
What We Require:
- Valid medical license in Colorado or active IMLC.
- Proven experience performing ERCP, endoscopy, and related procedures.
- Strong procedural skills and the ability to handle complex GI cases.
- Proficiency in Epic EMR with prior experience preferred.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to complete credentialing promptly and adhere to hospital protocols.
Additional Skills That Are a Plus:
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Prior experience working as a locum provider.
- Training or experience with GI emergencies such as GI bleed management.
- Fluency in additional languages is a valuable asset.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Gastroenterology.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical experience in gastroenterology.
- Prior experience with advanced procedures like ERCP and EUS is highly desirable.
Other Important Details:
- Commitment to completing EMR training modules and pre-application credentialing in advance.
- Willingness to stay at designated preferred hotels with pre-negotiated rates.
- Local candidates encouraged, but travel preferences can be accommodated.
- Ready to start as early as December 8, 2025, for urgent coverage with ongoing dates into early 2025.
