What You’ll Do:
As a Gastroenterology provider, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality outpatient and inpatient care, including handling endoscopies, ERCP procedures, and consults. Your expertise will support a collaborative team of physicians and APPs committed to excellence. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4:30 pm, with 24-hour weekend call coverage (no weekday night call). This role is perfect for physicians seeking a flexible and impactful temporary position.
Required Skills:
- MD or DO degree with valid medical license in Michigan
- Board-certified or eligible in Gastroenterology
- Proven experience with ERCP procedures (required)
- Strong clinical skills in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to handle urgent cases efficiently and compassionately
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in hospital-based endoscopy units
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
- Prior locum or temporary staffing experience
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Active state medical license in Michigan or willingness to obtain
- At least 2 years of Gastroenterology practice experience post-residency
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to provide ERCP procedures as required
