Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - Hospitalist - OB in Rowlett, TX!
Are you a dedicated OB/GYN Hospitalist seeking a flexible opportunity to make a meaningful impact on women's health in the vibrant Dallas suburb of Rowlett, TX? Pediatrix Medical Group, in partnership with Baylor Scott & White Lake Pointe Medical Center, invites qualified physicians to join our team on a per diem basis. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing OB triage, admissions, deliveries, inpatient care, and emergency gynecologic consults. You'll work closely with our in-house neonatologists, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and anesthesiology team at our Level III NICU with approximately 1,700 annual deliveries. Shifts are 24 hours in-house, providing a structured yet flexible schedule to suit your commitments while allowing you to deliver exceptional care.
Required Skills:
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one
- Board-certified or eligible OB/GYN physician
- Proven experience in obstetrics and gynecology hospitalist services
- Strong clinical skills in labor and delivery, fetal monitoring, and emergency response
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in a Level III NICU and with high-risk pregnancies
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Additional certifications such as ATLS, NRP, or Fetal Monitoring
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based OB/GYN practice preferred
Other Requirements:
- Availability to start on or around April 28, 2026
- Ability to work the designated schedule and adhere to hospital policies
- Willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in on-call coverage
