What You'll Bring:
- Proven expertise in maternal fetal medicine, including procedures like amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and managing high-risk pregnancies.
- Proficiency in ultrasound imaging, ideally with GE 10 equipment.
- Strong knowledge of high-risk pregnancy management, pre-eclampsia, multiple pregnancies, fetal growth restriction, and genetic disorders.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with nurses, sonographers, genetic counselors, and administrative staff.
- Ability to work independently within a team-focused environment, providing compassionate and expert care.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with cerclage procedures.
- Familiarity with EPIC and viewpoint EMR systems.
- Background in managing complex maternal-fetal cases involving co-morbidities.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- MD or DO degree with board certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- Valid state medical license to practice in Virginia.
- Prior locum or inpatient outpatient maternity care experience preferred, with a minimum of 3 years in maternal-fetal medicine.
Additional Requirements:
- Credentialing process estimated to take approximately 90 days.
- Coverage dates are flexible, with available blocks from May through early June.
- Must be able to travel; facility reimburses travel expenses including flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage at IRS rates.
