Position Overview
An established cardiovascular program in Illinois is seeking Interventional Cardiologists for an ongoing locum opportunity combining weekday hospital-based procedural coverage with negotiable STEMI call responsibilities.
Physicians will practice within a regional cardiovascular network providing advanced interventional services while supporting patients across both Illinois and Missouri. This assignment offers a broad procedural case mix, travel and lodging provided, flexible call scheduling, and one of the most competitive physician compensation packages available for comparable Interventional Cardiology opportunities.
Assignment Highlights
- Pay Ranking: Top 5–10% Nationally
- Provider Pay: $425/hour
- Start as soon as credentialed (approximately 90-day credentialing)
- Initial 13-week assignment
- Ongoing extension potential
- Three physicians needed
- Monday–Friday schedule
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- One weekday night of STEMI call per week (negotiable)
- One weekend of STEMI call per month (negotiable)
- Full-time preferred
- PRN physicians considered
- Call-only providers cannot be considered
- Hospital-based Interventional Cardiology practice
- Epic and MEDITECH EMR
- Travel and lodging provided
- All orientation hours billable
- Weekend and weekday STEMI call includes coverage for both the Illinois hospital and the affiliated Missouri sister hospital
- Active Illinois and Missouri medical licenses required
- IMLC candidates encouraged
- Physicians only (no APPs)

- Weekend inpatient rounding during call
- Shared STEMI coverage across both Illinois and Missouri hospitals
