As a Locum OB Hospitalist, you will play a vital role in managing obstetric patients and supporting our team with emergent GYN needs. Required Skills
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Valid Virginia medical license or ability to obtain one
- Proven experience in obstetrics and gynecology, including emergent GYN procedures
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and handle emergent OB/GYN cases efficiently
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience working in hospitalist or inpatient OB settings
- Familiarity with Level 3B NICU and Level 3B neonatal care coordination
- Ability to collaborate with MFM specialists and anesthesia teams
- Bilingual skills or multilingual capabilities are a plus
Preferred Education and Experience
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Minimum 2+ years of OB hospitalist experience preferred
- Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications
- Active and unrestricted Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain
Other Requirements
- Start date: February 1, 2026
- Hourly pay rate of $214.50
- Must be available to work shifts as scheduled, including emergent coverage
- Willingness to handle emergent gynecological cases only
- Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site in Christiansburg, VA
