Join Our Esteemed Oncology Team as a Locum Physician in Redding, CA
Are you a dedicated Hematologist/Oncologist seeking a rewarding locum opportunity in a dynamic outpatient setting? We invite qualified physicians to provide exceptional care at our vibrant Infusion Center, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. This role offers a chance to work independently while collaborating with a skilled midlevel provider and hospital team, all within the beautiful city of Redding.
Required Skills:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology (must be active or recently eligible)
- Proven experience managing outpatient chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood/platelet transfusions, and other infusion therapies
- Strong knowledge of diagnosis, staging, and treatment of hematology/oncology conditions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including hospitalists and ER physicians
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
- Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience working in a hospital-based infusion center
- Familiarity with advanced therapies including precision medicine and targeted treatments
- Experience with complex case management and symptom control
- Bilingual abilities to best serve diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Active California medical license or ability to obtain licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of hematology/oncology clinical experience, particularly in outpatient settings
- Recent involvement in outpatient chemotherapy administration and patient management
Other Requirements:
- Ability to commit to scheduled shifts from April 23, 2026, with multiple opportunity blocks
- Must be available for onsite supervision during all infusion treatments
- Willingness to work flexible hours including scheduled holidays (compensation provided)
- Participation in credentialing process expected within 30-60 days
This is an exceptional opportunity to practice in a supportive environment with competitive compensation of $625-$660 per hour, including coverage for malpractice, and comprehensive benefits. Orientation is compensated at $312.50-$330, and holiday pay is 1.5 times the hourly rate.
