We are seeking a skilled Radiologist with a passion for diagnostic imaging, particularly in mammography and breast biopsies, to cover a 9-12 month assignment starting in October. The facility offers a supportive setting with radiology techs and support staff, and a mix of outpatient procedures to keep your skills sharp. Enjoy a Monday through Friday schedule with no call requirement, enabling a healthy work-life balance.
Required Skills:
- Board-certified or eligible in Radiology with diagnostic imaging expertise
- Proficient in mammography and breast biopsies, including stereotactic procedures
- Ability to read PET, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and X-ray studies
- Experience with EMR systems, preferably Cerner
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with teleradiology consultation or remote reading options
- Additional proficiency in other imaging modalities or interventional procedures
- Familiarity with Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospitals workflow
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO with valid medical license in California
- 2+ years of post-residency clinical experience in diagnostic radiology
- Previous locum or outpatient imaging experience highly desirable
Other Requirements:
- Credentialing with the hospital (90-120 days)
- Travel reimbursement: up to $750 airfare, preferred lodging, and $65/day car rental
- No travel restrictions or special accommodations unless specified
- Must be comfortable working in an outpatient clinic setting with a multidisciplinary team
