What Youll Do
Provide hospital coverage, including IR procedures like thoracentesis, paracentesis, drain placements, and biopsies
Perform stroke CTs, ED and ICU imaging studies
Conduct lumbar punctures, barium studies, and CT/US biopsies
Assist in outpatient building with contrast-enhanced CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsies
Supervise and perform basic IR procedures and imaging follow-ups
Collaborate with hospital staff, radiology nurses, and tech teams to deliver high-quality care
What You Need
Valid California Medical License with active board certification or eligibility in Radiology
Minimum of 2+ years of IR procedural experience in acute care hospital settings
Skilled in IR procedures such as thoracentesis, chest tubes, biopsies, lumbar punctures
Proficient in acute care imaging and stroke protocols
Strong teamwork and communication skills
About the Assignment
This position is based at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, a general acute care facility with stroke certification. The radiologist will handle hospital and outpatient imaging needs, including procedures requiring IR expertise. The facility serves a busy ED with approximately 85-90 patients daily, and handles a wide variety of urgent and scheduled imaging studies.
