Reason for Coverage: Insufficient local hand coverage for 24/7/365 needs about 19 days a month
Call Ratio: Negotiable
Patient Demographics: Ages 15 years and older (adolescent through geriatric)
Number of Plastic Surgeon in Practice: 1 (Hand coverage), 1 community provider (Plastics), 2 hospital employed (Ortho Hand)
Case Volume:
Average: 1 surgical case per month
Summer months: Approximately 3 per month
Annual ER Volume: 90,000
Clinic Responsibilities:
In-person response when procedures are required
Supported through Trauma Clinic: Tuesdays, 9:00 AM 12:00 PM; SPB Suite 600
Required Procedures:
Hand-related procedures
Traumatic hand reconstruction
General plastic surgery procedures including Facial laceration repair, Scar revisions, Skin grafts, Flaps
