Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate assigned action station independently during service
- Prepare menu items to order or in batches while maintaining speed and consistency
- Manage cooking cycles to ensure continuous product availability
- Adjust production levels based on guest volume
- Interact confidently and professionally with guests
- Answer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
- Accommodate reasonable special requests when appropriate
- Maintain portion accuracy and product consistency
- Ensure visual appeal and freshness of displayed items
- Remove and replace items exceeding holding limits
- Manage pacing to minimize wait times
- Coordinate with support staff for restocking and assistance
- Maintain readiness for sudden volume surges common in buffet environments
- Monitor temperatures continuously during service
- Prevent cross-contact between allergens and raw/cooked foods
- Maintain sanitation of utensils, surfaces, and equipment
- Assist in coaching Cook I staff assigned to the station
- Demonstrate proper techniques and service standards
- Other related duties including but not limited to complying with the following: Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Colorado Gaming Rules and Regulations, Colorado Internal Control Minimum Procedures, Colorado Liquor and Beer Codes, Federal requirements for Anti-Money Laundering, Company Policies, and IRS reporting
Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
- Must have a working knowledge of the food service industry
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- At least 1 year of cooking experience in a high-volume food establishment
- Strong cooking experience, preferably in high-volume or buffet environments
- Ability to work independently on a station
- Comfortable interacting with guests
- Advanced time-management skills
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Food Safety Handler Certification
- Identification that establishes identity
- Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
