Lodge Operations Coordinator
Ashland, ME – Direct Hire Opportunity Schedule: Full-Time; flexibility may be required for meetings, events, and occasional weekend coverage. Salary: $45,000–$60,000 annually Job Description: We are seeking a Lodge Operations Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of an employee lodge in Ashland, Maine. This position will primarily manage food service operations, supervise kitchen staff, and coordinate meetings and events held at the lodge. The role will also provide oversight of employee housing and lodging services, including cleanliness, maintenance needs, and coordination with contractors or internal maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, hospitality, lodging, or a similar setting and be comfortable leading a team and managing multiple operational priorities. Responsibilities: - Oversee daily lodge operations
- Supervise and schedule cooks and other lodge staff
- Coordinate meal preparation and food service
- Help maintain food quality, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Monitor food and supply inventory and assist with ordering
- Accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies as needed
- Coordinate setup and support for meetings and special events
- Ensure kitchen, dining, common areas, and employee housing areas are clean and well maintained
- Assist with routine housing inspections and identify maintenance or repair needs
- Coordinate lodging-related services such as laundry, supplies, and general property upkeep
- Work with contractors and internal maintenance staff when repairs or facility needs arise
- Train and support lodge employees
- Monitor operational costs related to food service and lodge operations
- Complete basic administrative duties, including logs, reports, payroll information, and employee documentation
- Provide a welcoming and professional experience for employees and guests
- Perform other related duties as needed
Qualifications: - Previous supervisory experience in food service, hospitality, lodging, or a related field preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a head cook, kitchen supervisor, or in a similar commercial food service environment preferred
- Food safety certification preferred
- Experience overseeing lodging, housing, property operations, or facility-related needs is a plus
- Comfortable coordinating routine maintenance needs and working with contractors or internal trades
- Experience with inventory, ordering, and purchasing procedures preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer-based systems
- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
