Position Overview:

The DoD Logistician will play a key role in managing and optimizing logistics operations in support of Department of Defense programs. This position requires expertise in supply chain management, resource allocation, and operational logistics to ensure mission success. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DoD logistics processes, systems, and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage logistics plans that align with DoD requirements and objectives.

  • Coordinate supply chain activities, including procurement, distribution, and inventory management.

  • Analyze and improve logistical processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of resources.

  • Maintain compliance with DoD regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.

  • Provide logistical support for deployment and sustainment operations, including transportation and equipment readiness.

  • Utilize logistics software and systems, such as GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LOGSA, to manage and track resources.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program managers, engineers, and contractors, to align logistics strategies with overall project goals.

  • Prepare and present logistics reports, briefings, and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Manage and oversee transportation planning and shipping schedules to support mission timelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics operations, preferably within a DoD environment.

  • Familiarity with DoD logistics systems, such as GCSS, DPAS, or similar platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of DoD regulations, including FAR/DFARS compliance and ITAR.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Applicant Must able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance, with SCI access

  • Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in a related field.

  • Certifications such as Certified Professional Logistician (CPL), Six Sigma, or PMP.

  • Experience with expeditionary logistics and operational support.

  • Prior military experience or familiarity with military culture and operations.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $110,000 To $135,000 Annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

  • Regular communication (hearing/speaking).

  • Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.

  • Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).

  • Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, and may occasionally lift and move at least 25 pounds.

  • Ability to travel by car, air or other means of transportation, if required.
