    Description

    The Logistics Analyst is responsible for analyzing transportation and distribution methods to develop and utilize the most advantageous and efficient means of transporting products to meet delivery schedules and deadlines. Provides internal customers and outside vendors with timely responses and direction on problem resolution.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinates bid packages
    • Supports spot pricing and capacity requirements
    • Coordinates pickup and delivery of outbound shipments from vendors, outside storage and LB Foster locations (domestic and international)
    • Analyze transportation and distribution methods and efficient means of transporting products
    • Use efficient means of transporting products
    • Meet delivery schedules and deadlines
    • Back up support in preparing export documentation such as export declaration of dock orders, commercial invoices, Free Trade Agreement certificates
    • Assist accounts payable in the processing of freight invoices by providing proper ERP reference numbers
    • Manage LTL freight claims using EZ Claim software

    Experience, Education, & License Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business-related field preferred but not required, or 3 plus years equivalent work experience
    • 1 - 3 years' experience in transportation or logistics
    • Warehouse management and shipping experience a plus
    • Prior experience working for or with a 3PL provider will be helpful
