We are seeking a Logistics Analyst to support our organization through detailed analysis, reporting, and inbound transportation management.
- Lead negotiations with carriers to secure competitive rates, reduce costs, and ensure capacity.
- Monitor open orders, plan carriers proactively, and follow up on late shipments.
- Maintain and update the internal rate management system with negotiated rates.
- Perform logistics analysis to identify cost-efficient routing and optimal carriers based on capacity, rates, and performance history.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to resolve transportation and operational issues.
- Act as the point of contact for order status, supplier issues, and logistics challenges.
- Conduct cost comparisons, network optimization, and utilize inventory tools to determine optimal shipping strategies.
- Collaborate with the private fleet to coordinate backhauls and route shipments through PO management systems.
- Ensure timely delivery, exercise independent judgment, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Participate in training and development initiatives to stay current with industry practices.
- Provide proactive support and exemplify core company values such as integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities. Candidates should have at least 2 years of logistics experience or equivalent education, proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
