Logistics Analyst

Payrate: $25.00- $26.00/hr.
 
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

• Responsible for the execution of the DMP program. Serving as the sole team member actioning requests from manufacturing facilities to divert their ocean container to pick up at a port and avoid rail movement for expedited delivery. This covers tasks such as – creation and follow through of Blue Yonder shipments for drayage, truckload (we manage end to end for this program), constant communication with the MFG facility in relation to updates on status, working with the ocean carriers to amend bill of ladings and working with Trade Operations to ensure these are prioritized for customs clearance.
• Creating and managing all import breakbulk parts shipments through Blue Yonder. Working with receiving facilities on delivery appts, ports for crane appts, constant communication with open equipment providers and ensuring loads are covered through contracted rates or spot quotes.
• Carrier Analyst – responsible for contacting drayage providers on ALL drayage shipments in the import network regarding dwell.

• Years of experience: The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with Excel using formulas and formatting as this will be more of a technical role. In addition, if the candidate has international transportation experience, it would be a bonus as it would aid in understanding the output of their job function.
• Degree requirement: High school diploma is required.

• Excel experience – this role requires working knowledge of Excel in functions such as running queries, formatting spreadsheets, utilizing formulas
• Advanced Attention to Detail – this job role has standard work created with approx. 100 steps to follow and any 1 step can disrupt the output of the process.
• Willingness to learn and grow – as mentioned, there is always room to grow and learn new things on our team. We like to cross-train employees in all the various roles and tasks for personal development and coverage when needed on holidays, etc.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $25.00- $26.00/hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
