Akima Mission Optimization (AMO) is seeking a Logistics Analyst to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren Division with Professional & Operational Support Services. Specifically, AMO is seeking a Logistics Analyst to function as a Purchase Requisition (PR) Creator in Dahlgren, VA. The successful candidate will provide on-site support with day-to-day operational activities supporting the PR Creation process. The primary objective of this role is to submit accurate, justified, and compliant purchase requests, on time, in support of multiple departments.
Responsibilities
Oversee the management of data transitioning from IBPES into the ERP system to generate purchase requisitions for OFDs, incremental funding, and contracts.
Exercise independent judgment to research, evaluate, and manage rejected requisitions to ensure corrections are completed within established deadlines.
Lead and track correspondence with customers across multiple departments, maintaining accurate logs, and minimizing rejection rates.
Facilitate process improvement initiatives focused on enhancing PR creation workflow.
Lead efforts to assist P-Card and Approving Officials (AO) in obtaining the proper documentation and signatures required for monthly reconciliations.
Manage activities to ensure that PR process metrics, standards and deadlines are met according to program requirements.
Serve as the primary interface with various Departments, Comptrollers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), AO's, etc. to provide expert guidance and decision support.
Manage PR activities working with various types of funding requests including Incremental, OFDs, Service and Material SAPs, De-obligations and Realignments.
Manage a high-volume backlog of requests by prioritizing actions based on mission-criticality.
Provide accurate and reliable metrics data that affect financial and operational reporting for Leadership.
Qualifications
Must hold an active DoD-issued Interim-Secret (or higher) security clearance (Active Secret preferred).
Associate degree (AA) in a related business field, OR three (3) plus years of progressively responsible administrative experience.
Proven ability to multitask, work independently with minimal oversight, exercise discretion, manage priorities, and make informed decisions while serving as a subject matter resource.
Ability to work across multiple online databases (e.g., ERP/IBPES) to diagnose issues, apply judgment, and provide timely and informed responses to customer requests.
Must be a detail-oriented, customer-focused, and self-directed team member capable of operating efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong sense of urgency and prioritization with excellent time management skills.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
Customer-focused with the ability to provide professional guidance and support.
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool.
Experience screening material requirements in various databases, including Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS), Haystack, Navy Logistics Library (NLL), One Touch and Navy ERP, IBPES; FEDMALL; GSA; One Touch Support.
Experience with creating and validating Unique Material Master (UMM) records in Navy ERP.
