Logistics and Materials Specialist is responsible for overseeing logistics for incoming and outgoing products, reviewing incoming materials for quality and quantity accuracy and supporting key warehousing activities.  The specialist conducts audits and reviews key metrics on incoming material, helps to manage the company’s inventory system, issues material to jobs accurately and ensures outgoing shipments are prepared, weighed and shipped properly. 


Reliability, commitment and attention to detail are critical in this role, along with attendance and punctuality.

Essential Duties Include:

Material Quality Review

  • Perform inspections and quality tests on all incoming materials to ensure standards compliance

  • Approve or reject materials based on quality control tests and observed conditions.

  • Assist in processing claims related to defective or non-compliant materials

  • Maintain detailed documentation of quality control processes and results.

Logistics

  • Assist with incoming and outgoing shipping and courier services.

  • Pack and prepare finished jobs and label pallets for shipment once production is complete.

  • Prepare shipping paperwork and documentation including BOL, packing slips, etc.

  • Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accurate delivery address and any special requests for timelines, notifications, etc are met.

  • Send shipment confirmations and related documentation to customers.

Inventory and Warehouse Management

  • Oversee materials processes, ensuring both incoming and outgoing stock is properly recorded.

  • Coordinate and execute inventory transfers between warehouses.

  • Ensure proper labeling and storage of materials according to industry and company standards.

  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to use a computer including Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms

  • Willingness to learn new computer tools, such as a specific ERP

  • Ability to organize and maintain information

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and consistency

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to clearly summarize and express quality concerns in both written and verbal forums

  • English-Spanish Bilingual a plus

  • Must be able to stand for long periods, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.


Schedule may vary according to workflow, but currently 7am-430pm Monday through Friday, overtime paid at time and a half for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week.
