Job Summary
A growing industrial services organization is seeking a Logistics & Operations Support Coordinator to support daily shop operations and transportation logistics at a new facility in Lafayette, Louisiana. This role serves as the primary point of contact for logistics coordination, including tracking incoming and outgoing materials, supporting operational workflows, and ensuring efficient service delivery.
Job Description
- Serve as the primary point of contact for logistics and transportation coordination.
- Monitor and supervise materials, equipment, and inventory moving in and out of the shop.
- Coordinate transportation activities and support operational scheduling needs.
- Ensure operational deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Provide day-to-day operational support for shop and logistics activities.
- Assist with technical and operational coordination across projects as needed.
- Support process improvements to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Help maintain operational integrity through adherence to established procedures and workflows.
- Collect and track key performance indicator (KPI) information and operational data.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and transportation providers.
- Follow all company safety standards, operational procedures, and quality expectations.
- Shift: 8 hrs/day, some OT required, Business hours - 8 am to 5 pm
Skills Required
- Experience working in a shop, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or operational environment preferred.
- Strong operational and organizational skills required.
- Previous oil and gas industry experience is not required.
- Preference given to candidates with hands-on shop or warehouse experience over primarily administrative backgrounds.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills required.
- Comfortable learning and using user-friendly internal software systems.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to multitask and manage changing operational priorities.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Education
- Required: Highschool diploma or GED
Additional requirements
- Preferred: Forklift experience is a plus; onsite certification may be provided.
- Preferred: Experience coordinating shipments, inventory, or transportation activities is beneficial.
Pay rate
- $24 - $26 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
