Reports to: Houston Plant Manager

Help Keep Our Houston Operation Moving

B&G Manufacturing is looking for a Logistics & Production Coordinator to join our Houston facility. This is an important role that connects shipping, production, customer service, and the Plant Manager to help ensure customer orders are completed and shipped accurately and on time.

What Youll Do

• Coordinate and process customer shipments accurately and on time.
• Determine the most efficient and cost-effective shipping method for each order.
• Prepare, process, and maintain shipping and production paperwork.
• Create, print, and track shop work orders through completion.
• Monitor work orders and communicate production progress, issues, and delays to the Houston Plant Manager.
• Enter and maintain information accurately in company systems.
• Verify the accuracy of shipping documents and other outgoing paperwork.
• Provide professional and responsive customer service and communication.
• Work closely with production and other team members to keep orders moving.
• Maintain organized and accurate records.
• Communicate effectively regarding priorities, problems, and changing customer needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Were Looking For

Required:

• Previous shipping/receiving or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Good communication skills and professional phone etiquette.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively with both office and manufacturing personnel.

Preferred:

• Experience with SAP or another ERP/MRP system.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Experience with production control, work orders, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.

The Work Environment

This is a 1st shift position working in an office and manufacturing/warehouse environment. The position involves computer and desk work as well as regular walking through the warehouse and manufacturing areas. Appropriate PPE is required in designated areas.
