Description

SAIC is looking for a Logistics Associate to support the Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) in Crane Indiana. This position will need someone who is highly motivated with the ability to work individually and with small teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of major TACP Systems.
  • Controls the efficient flow of goods, services and information between points of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements.
  • May also plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production.
  • Develops raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules, and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes.
  • Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans.
  • Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and supervision.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's and 0 years' experience. Four (4) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelors.
  • Coordinate transportation of equipment shipments.
  • Experience with researching parts for procurement using drawings, assembly instructions, and excel documents to find the best price and lead time available for products for government systems.
  • Work in team environment.
  • Experience with Excel spreadsheets and inventory tracking.
  • Support receiving TACP or similar assets, scheduling required maintenance, monitoring the maintenance and return of assets to the appropriate activity using current shipping standards, Form DD1149, Form DD1348s, Shop Workload Management System.
  • Must possess good oral and written communications skills and be familiar with PC Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Position requires good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift, up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a busy environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Interim clearance required and must have an ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
