Whether you're leading a team, engineering processes, or driving projects, your work ensures that our customers' products are stored, handled, and delivered with precision. From everyday essentials to seasonal items, what we do in Contract Logistics impacts businesses and communities around the world. At Kuehne+Nagel, your contribution goes far beyond the warehouse-it helps shape the flow of global trade.

The Business Analyst - KPI & Performance Management is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure contractual, operational, and service-level commitments are consistently met. This role plays a critical part in identifying performance risks, supporting mitigation strategies, and preventing financial penalties associated with KPI breaches.

The ideal candidate will partner closely with Operations, Finance, IT, and Account Management to provide data-driven insights, early-warning indicators, and actionable recommendations.

How you create impact

KPI Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor agreed KPIs and SLAs across operations, contracts, and customer commitments.
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports.
  • Track trends, variances, and leading indicators to identify potential KPI risks.
  • Ensure KPI calculations align with contractual definitions and governance standards.

Risk Identification & Mitigation

  • Proactively identify KPIs at risk of non-compliance and flag potential penalty exposure.
  • Support root cause analysis for missed or degraded KPIs.
  • Document corrective actions, owners, and timelines; track closure and effectiveness.
  • Maintain a KPI risk register and mitigation action log.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with Operations, Finance, IT, and Account teams to validate data and insights.
  • Prepare performance summaries for management, customers, and governance forums.
  • Support escalation processes when KPI thresholds are at risk of breach.
  • Assist in performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Recommend process improvements to improve KPI performance and stability.
  • Support automation and standardization of KPI reporting and data collection.
  • Assist in defining, refining, and aligning KPIs with evolving business requirements.
  • Contribute to contract reviews by providing historical KPI performance analysis.

What we would like you to bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Performance Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong experience with KPI/SLA monitoring and performance reporting.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling).
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of data validation, KPI definitions, and reporting accuracy.
  • Experience working with operational systems (WMS, TMS, ERP, CRM preferred).
