Job Summary: TSI TRUCKING LLC is seeking a highly motivated Capacity Manager with an existing carrier following/network to join our growing logistics team. This individual will be responsible for securing truckload capacity through their established relationships with carriers, booking freight efficiently, and ensuring reliable, cost-effective transportation solutions. This is an ideal role for someone with deep industry connections, a proactive mindset, and the ability to bring immediate carrier capacity to support our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Leverage existing carrier relationships to secure reliable truckload capacity across multiple lanes and regions.
Book freight efficiently and cost-effectively using carriers from your network.
Maintain strong communication with carriers to track load status, resolve issues, and ensure on-time performance.
Identify and onboard new carrier partners to grow available capacity.
Monitor market trends and pricing to make strategic carrier and lane decisions.
Build and maintain carrier scorecards and performance metrics.
Collaborate with the operations and sales teams to align freight needs with available capacity.
Negotiate rates and ensure compliance with all company policies and federal transportation regulations.
Requirements:
Proven experience in truckload brokerage, dispatching, or logistics capacity management.
Active book of business or strong carrier following that can be immediately utilized.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with carriers.
Deep understanding of the freight market, transportation regulations, and load booking process.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and Microsoft Office.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume logistics environment.
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years in a logistics or freight brokerage role.
Existing relationships with asset-based carriers across major U.S. lanes.
Experience with load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) and other carrier sourcing tools.
