The Logistics Compliance Analyst is a critical, high visibility role within Shorr’s rapidly growing organization. This position is responsible for collaborating with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Product Vendors and Freight Carriers in supporting all aspects of the Supply Chain. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Audit of freight invoices, ownership of freight claims, freight pricing management, root causes analysis and other projects as assigned. Must have a strong understanding of LTL pricing, accessorials and freight claims. This position will also identify opportunities for service and cost improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitates communication between Operations, Sales, Vendors and Customer Service to promote a healthy and efficient supply chain.
  • Responsible for reviewing all invoices out of tolerance for approval
  • Ownership of fixing root cause issues surrounding freight bill variances
  • Processing of freight claims
  • Assistance with LTL pricing loads/testing
  • Identify and partner with Corporate Logistics Manager on cost savings and operational improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met
  • Ability to utilize the Transportation Management System to quote and route shipments in a cost effective and efficient manner with an understanding of how pricing is loaded
  • Communicate and resolve service issues quickly and efficiently
  • Assist with certain functions of freight optimization
  • Assist on special projects as assigned

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or similar field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in transportation planning, logistics, warehouse operations, or overall supply chain management
  • Distribution and warehouse operations experience a plus.
  • Deep understanding of LTL pricing, LTL accessorials, and the claims process.
  • Knowledge of OTR, LTL and Parcel shipment modes of transport and their operations required.
  • Strong knowledge base of logistics, experience with TMS systems and the ability to learn new systems quickly required.
  • Experience in outsourced Managed Transportation Programs. International logistics experience preferred.
  • Strong MS Office skills with an emphasis on moderate to advanced Excel skills, and the ability to interpret and analyze reports.

Work Arrangement
  • This is a hybrid role with required on-site attendance. Candidates must be able to commute to the designated work location. No relocation assistance will be provided.
