We are looking for a Senior Specialist, Systems Engineering – Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) to support complex defense/aerospace programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of systems engineering, logistics engineering, sustainment, and Integrated Logistics Support experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, development, and coordination of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities throughout the system lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain logistics and sustainment documentation, including:
- Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP)
- Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP)
- Life Cycle Cost Analyses (LCCA)
- Level of Repair Analyses (LORA)
- Provisioning Parts Lists (PPL)
- Maintenance Task Analyses (MTA)
- Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERD)
- Product Support Analysis (PSA) and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) deliverables.
- Perform supportability, provisioning, sparing, repair-level, maintenance, DMSMS, and sustainment risk analyses.
- Develop support and maintenance concepts at organizational, intermediate, and depot levels.
- Analyze lifecycle cost drivers and recommend strategies to improve readiness, affordability, maintainability, and long-term supportability.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, design engineering, program management, manufacturing, supply chain, training, field support, and customers.
- Support technical, design, and program reviews by presenting logistics and sustainment risks and recommendations.
- Use ILS/PSA/LSA tools and databases to manage logistics data and generate reports and metrics.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the ILS discipline.
- Support customer engagements and communicate sustainment strategies, supportability status, and lifecycle impacts.
- Travel up to 10% as required.
- Obtain and maintain required security clearance/status.
- Strong Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) / Logistics Engineering background.
- Experience in systems engineering, logistics engineering, sustainment engineering, or integrated logistics support.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree.
- Graduate degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience may also qualify.
- In lieu of a degree, 10 years of relevant ILS, sustainment, or logistics systems engineering experience.
- Experience supporting complex technical programs, preferably in defense, aerospace, or similarly regulated industries.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and program teams.
- Must be able to work onsite in Salt Lake City, UT.
- US Citizenship required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance in the future.
- Product Support Analysis (PSA) and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA).
- GEIA-STD-0007 and/or MIL-STD-1388-2B.
- Slicwave, EAGLE, Powerlog, or similar LSA/PSA tools.
- Compass/LORA, CASA/LCCA, or similar supportability and cost-analysis tools.
- Lifecycle sustainment documentation and supportability artifacts.
- Maintenance planning, provisioning, sparing, LORA, LCCA, and DMSMS.
- Military logistics experience involving supply support, maintenance planning, or sustainment operations.
- Engineering education/background.
- Experience defining maintenance concepts at organizational, intermediate, and depot levels.
- Experience working with defense/aerospace hardware systems.
- Experience using AI tools to improve analysis, quality, decision-making, or efficiency.
- Required: Bachelor's degree preferred, with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Alternative: Graduate degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- In lieu of degree: 10+ years of relevant ILS, sustainment, or logistics systems engineering experience.
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
