Logistics Coordinator

Adecco has immediate opening for a Logistics Coordinator in the Brunswick, OH area

1st shift

8am to 5:00pm

$20/hr

Position Description:
This position coordinates inbound receipts and outbound shipments and handles a number inbound / outbound customer service activities.

Position Guidelines:

• Inbound: Coordinate and schedule inbound shipments (Manage Dock Schedule) Coordinate and schedule inbound service related to client purchasing activities

• Outbound: Coordinate and schedule LTL Freight

• Obtain requirements for each shipment (Date Required, Delivery Requirements, etc.)

  1. Complete quotes for each shipment

  2. Obtain approval for shipping carrier / quote

  3. Supports quoting process for parcel and freight

  4. Leverage carrier software to quote and schedule shipments

• Customer Service Responsible for handling all carrier damage shipping claims o Responsible for researching customer complaints and lost items Respond / resolve shipping exceptions o Communicate with carriers regarding service levels o Inform management of ongoing carrier performance issues

• All other duties as assigned

Skills Required:

• Previous experience working with Parcel and LTL carriers

• Technical Skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access)

• Strong organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Oral and written communication skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Skills Desired:

• Strong Microsoft Office skills

• Previous experience working with carrier freight systems

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
