Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for but not limited to gathering and organizing all incoming inventory receipts daily, verifying all receipts against the warehouse management system ensuring accuracy, researching and resolving receipt discrepancies, entering all received receipts into the accounting system according to policy and procedure, creating inventory labels while adhering to all safety and GMP standards. Ensuring all product shipments are completed in a timely manner, adhering to daily appointment log, printing bill of ladings.

  • Ability to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position
  • Regular attendance to ensure production requirements are met
  • Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English
  • Basic math skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously adhering to set deadlines
  • Ability to work individually as well as with others as a team
  • Function as backup lead as needed for coverage

Job Duties:

  • Gather and organize all incoming inventory receipts daily
  • Create labels for inventory
  • Verify received receipts against warehouse management system to ensure accuracy
  • Data enter all receipts into accounting system
  • Research and resolve any discrepancies and coordinate with proper resources as needed
  • Track daily receipts / shipments and discrepancies
  • Verify all Bill of Lading with counted inventory ensuring accuracy (inbound and outbound)
  • Track all 99 dumps (e.g., damaged, expired, obsolete inventory, etc.)
  • Coordinate with Distribution office on problem receipts
  • Track all dropped trailers on the lot daily
  • Create OPL’s and improvement documents
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Proficient knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, and e-mail
  • Ability to learn warehouse management and accounting systems
  • Understanding of loss and solve problems independently
  • Knowledge of GMP’s and plant safety
  • Self motivated with a high level of enthusiasm and initiative
  • PIT Certified
  • Recent distribution / warehouse experience

Qualifications:

Education:High school diploma or GED required.

Experience Required:Minimum 6 months general clerical or related experience preferred.
