Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator supports distribution operations by coordinating inbound and outbound product movement while ensuring compliance with U.S. import regulations. This role manages logistics activities across the distribution network, maintains inventory accuracy on imports, and ensures all import documentation, tariffs, and duty amounts are accurate and compliant. Working in close partnership with the Purchasing Planner, Warehouse, Finance, and Admin teams, the Logistics Coordinator is central to operational efficiency, cost control, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate inbound shipments from domestic and international suppliers to warehouses and customer sites
  • Schedule and manage outbound deliveries to customers
  • Update vendor portals with shipping documents and tracking
  • Coordinate with the Admin team on customer freight and shipping guidelines
  • Communicate shipment status, delivery performance, and exceptions to all stakeholders
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams on receiving, picking, packing, staging, and shipping
  • Review and confirm accuracy of all import paperwork, including HTS classifications, tariffs, declared values, and duty amounts
  • Prepare, review, and maintain shipping and import documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, and entry summaries
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dangerous goods shipping procedures
  • Use the ACE CBP portal to ensure import compliance, perform reconciliation, and process post-summary adjustments related to value and duties
  • Serve as primary point of contact with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure timely clearance and compliance
  • Investigate and resolve logistics issues such as shortages, damages, customs holds, delays, or billing discrepancies
  • Work with Finance on freight invoice approvals and goods-in-transit confirmation
  • Track incoming warranty goods for supplier re-bill charges
  • Support freight planning, carrier coordination, and logistics cost-control initiatives
  • Assist with internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and documentation requests
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance distribution efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
  • Negotiate with freight forwarders and carriers for best available rates
  • Work closely with the Purchasing Planner on delivery expectations for incoming goods
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2–4 years of recent experience in logistics, EDI, distribution, import/export, or supply chain operations
  • Current experience reviewing import documentation, tariffs, and duty calculations
  • Working knowledge of the ACE Portal and U.S. import compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with HTS classification, valuation, and customs broker coordination
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required); strong understanding of ERP systems
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments, compliance deadlines, and operational priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving, process-improvement, and accountability mindset
