Job Description
A major client if ours in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for their Melville, NY office. This is a permanent onsite position.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule domestic trucks to and from vendors
- Coordinate the scheduling, routing, and tracking of shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including bills, shipping labels, and tracking.
- Checking with warehouse that freight is ready to go.
A successful candidate will possess experience working with the following :
- Fedex
- UPS
- Distribution List
- National and International Shipping
- Bill of Lading
- Commercial Invoicing
- Truck Scheduling
- UPS World Ship
- Front End Logistics Experience
- Person must possess good organizational skills, professional attitude, and the ability to work without close supervision.
- Person must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Person must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs and experience with computer-based ERP systems is highly preferred.
- Experience in the manufacturing environments
