Job Title: Logistics CoordinatorJob DescriptionThe Logistics Coordinator supports day-to-day transportation and logistics operations by managing shipment documentation, coordinating with freight forwarders and carriers, and ensuring accurate data entry in SAP and related systems. This role uses EDI software and the Microsoft Office Suite to process and track shipments, manage invoicing activities, and provide responsive customer service. The position offers structured training, opportunities for growth into leadership roles, and a flexible hybrid work arrangement once training is complete.Responsibilities+ Coordinate daily logistics and transportation activities to ensure timely and accurate movement of goods.+ Read and interpret bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documents to verify shipment details and requirements.+ Use SAP to enter, update, and track logistics, transportation, and invoicing information.+ Work with EDI software to process electronic data related to shipments, orders, and confirmations.+ Utilize the Microsoft Office Suite to prepare reports, track shipments, and maintain accurate records.+ Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, and internal teams to resolve issues and support smooth freight movements.+ Support customer service activities by responding to logistics-related inquiries and providing shipment status updates.+ Assist with supply chain and invoicing tasks to ensure accurate billing and documentation.+ Follow established procedures and training guidelines, seeking support from system superusers when needed.+ Contribute to continuous improvement of logistics processes and systems, with an eye toward future team lead responsibilities.Essential Skills+ Logistics background or experience in a related field preferred.+ Understanding and hands-on experience with reading and interpreting bills of lading (BOL).+ Proficiency with EDI software for logistics and transportation data exchange.+ Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.+ SAP experience required for managing logistics, transportation, and invoicing activities.+ Experience working with freight forwarders and transportation providers.+ Customer service skills related to logistics and shipment coordination.+ Ability to manage multiple shipments and tasks with strong attention to detail.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Experience in supply chain, transportation, or freight forwarding environments.+ background in invoicing and logistics-related billing processes.+ Comfort working in both Oracle-based and SAP environments or transitioning systems.+ Interest in developing into a team lead or leadership role within logistics.+ Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.+ Ability to learn new systems quickly with the support of superusers and structured training.Work EnvironmentThe role begins with onsite training three days per week for the first month, providing clear guidance and support from system superusers. After training, the position transitions to a hybrid schedule with approximately one to two days per week onsite and the remaining days working from home. The company provides a laptop, monitor, and other necessary equipment to perform the job effectively. The logistics team currently operates in an SAP environment, having transitioned from an Oracle-based system, and relies on EDI software and the Microsoft Office Suite for daily operations.
