Customer Service Coordinator / Dispatcher (Logistics)

Location: El Paso, TX
Pay range: $17 - $21 depending on experience.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Coordinator / Dispatcher to join our logistics team. In this role, you will coordinate transportation requests, dispatch drivers, track shipments, and ensure exceptional customer service throughout the transportation process. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong problem-solving skills, and can effectively communicate with customers, drivers, contractors, and carriers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dispatch drivers for domestic and cross-border shipment pickups and deliveries.
  • Monitor and track shipments from pickup through final delivery.
  • Prioritize time-sensitive freight and ensure on-time service.
  • Coordinate transportation requests and scheduling activities.
  • Maintain communication with customers, contractors, company drivers, and partner carriers.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Resolve transportation and delivery issues quickly and professionally.
  • Accurately enter and maintain shipment data in transportation management systems.
  • Work closely with operations and customer service teams to exceed customer expectations.
  • Assist with new account implementations and startup activities.
  • Support additional projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatching, customer service, or a related field.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Experience tracking shipments and coordinating transportation activities preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.
