Position: Warehouse Clerk/Customer Service

City: Lathrop, CA

Range of Pay: $20.00 - $21.00

Shift: 1st Shift – 8:00AM – 4:30PM

Type: Temp-to-Hire

Summary

Responsible for providing effective customer service for all Warehouse & Cross Dock Logistics customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company services. Interact with other internal departments to achieve balance of capacity while achieving high service levels.

Essential Duties
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers.
  • Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments with warehouse and carrier teams.
  • Manage order entry, updates, and changes in WMS.
  • Provide shipment updates, delivery appointment confirmations.
  • Ensure all documentation meets customer and company requirements.
  • Proactively resolve service issues and follow through to customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor open order reports and support the billing process to ensure timely invoicing.
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with both internal staff and external customers.

  • Proven track record of successful data entry skills;
  • Professional phone skills, excellent communication and problem solving skills;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail/organizational and follow through skills;
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment; and
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience

· High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)

· Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a high volume environment.

Reasoning Ability

· Ability to solve practical problems

· Ability to negotiate and deal with a variety of transportation, personnel and customer service situations.

· Ability to communicate, respond to questions and give directions in a professional and efficient manner to customers, managers and other employees.

· Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, map or schedule format.

· Ability to read, analyze and write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals as well as maintain required logs.

· Ability to plan and manage a daily schedule, as well as organize assignments in an efficient and timely manner.

Work Environment

· A fast-paced, collaborative warehouse setting with frequent interaction between departments.

· CSR office is located onsite and connected to the warehouse floor, allowing for close communication with operations.

· Must be comfortable working in the warehouse environment as needed to track orders, communicate with floor leads, or troubleshooting issues.

· Team-oriented culture that values communication, transparency, and follow-through.

Physical Demands

· Regularly sit, type, and use the mouse up to 8 hours a day;

· Regularly sit and stand from chair up to 20 times a day;

· Occasionally stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach

· Occasionally climb stairs

· Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
