Job Summary:


General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs and manufactures first-of-a-kind electromagnetic and electric power generation systems. GA-EMS' expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide.


We are looking for a Logistics Development Provisioner to join our Rancho Bernardo team. In this role, you will help develop logistics data and support strategies for DoD products. You will work with engineering, supply chain, and other teams to make sure the right parts, tools, and information are available to support our systems throughout their life cycle.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


+ Help plan logistics support for new and existing products, including spare and repair parts, support equipment, and test equipment.

+ Support the development and use of standard logistics processes and tools.

+ Monitor logistics activities on assigned contracts to help ensure they follow company and customer requirements.

+ Assist with logistics analysis to determine what parts and support items are needed, how many are needed, and how they should be cataloged.

+ Use engineering drawings, bills of material, and manufacturer data to develop and update provisioning data (logistics management information).

+ Support the development and update of logistics documents such as technical manuals, parts lists, and obsolescence screening (identifying parts that are no longer available or are at risk).

+ Research and review logistics and technical data from government and commercial databases to verify and improve data accuracy.

+ Help identify logistics issues (for example, parts availability, changes in design, or supportability) and participate in developing practical solutions.

+ Participate in project and program meetings to review status, schedule, and technical/logistics performance.

+ May assist with inputs to proposals, statements of work, and other project documentation.

+ Perform other logistics‑related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:


+ Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Equivalent applicable experience may be substituted in lieu of education. Some understanding of logistics or supply chain (moving, storing, tracking parts/equipment) and interest in learning configuration management (tracking versions and changes).

+ Able to learn new concepts, analyze data, identify issues, and help develop practical solutions to logistics problems (availability, reliability, and life‑cycle support).

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly document work and present information to coworkers, managers, and customers.

+ Good interpersonal skills and comfortable working both independently and in a team.

+ Proficient with computers and standard office/documentation tools.

+ Willing to work extended hours and travel as needed.

+ Able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications


+ Familiarity with DoD logistics or product support (Integrated Logistics Support, spares management, provisioning).

+ Experience with tools such as Windchill, SAP, or SLICwave for logistics management information.

+ Mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings; electrical/electronics background is a plus.

+ Experience writing maintenance and troubleshooting (fault isolation) procedures.

+ Familiarity with Engineering Change (EC) processes and their impact on logistics and support.
