Logistics Dock Operations Coordinator

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays as needed (including the last Saturday of each month). New Year’s Eve hours may also be required.

A Day in the Role

At 7:00 AM, you scan the day’s orders, confirm customer requirements, and prioritize outbound loads. You verify part numbers, quantities, and weights, print labels, and prepare postage. Before trucks arrive, you stage materials using the correct packaging standards and complete Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs) through customer portals. As inbound deliveries roll in, you inspect, record, and flag any discrepancies. Before anything ships, you complete part marking and identification, reconcile paperwork, and capture accurate records. Throughout the day, you keep the warehouse tidy and safe, monitor supplies, and coordinate closely with production, purchasing, and customer service to keep everything moving on time.

What You’ll Handle

  • Prepare, package, and process products for shipment in line with customer orders and specifications
  • Verify outbound accuracy: part numbers, quantities, weights, and documentation
  • Label, identify, and package to the proper shipping and packaging standards
  • Generate shipping documentation, labels, postage, and ASNs via customer portals
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials; report discrepancies promptly
  • Perform part marking and identification prior to shipment
  • Maintain precise shipping and receiving records and follow work instructions
  • Track and replenish shipping supplies and packaging materials
  • Uphold 5S: maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of shipping and receiving experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational habits
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
  • Basic computer and math skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Clear communicator with a customer-service mindset
  • Works independently and collaborates well with cross-functional teams
  • Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification
  • Willingness to work the last Saturday of each month and New Year’s Eve as needed

Work Environment

Manufacturing setting with exposure to machine noise, forklifts, metal components, oils, and other industrial conditions. Occasional travel between the Southwick and Westfield facilities may be required.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 30 pounds as needed
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, climb stairs, and sit for extended periods
  • Read and interpret shipping documents, labels, and instructions with or without corrective lenses
