GovCIO is currently hiring a Subject Matter Expert (SME) IT Logistician to serve as the delivery and receiving coordinator for the client. This position will be located in the National Capital Region and will be strictly onsite within the United States.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the delivery and receiving coordinator for the client. The SME will assess and support end-to-end delivery processes from vendor scheduling through clearance of drivers, cargo, inspections and material handling. The SME will support collaberation between the workforce.
Have a clear understanding of Government logistics practices, procedures, and policies.
Own the consolidated delivery schedule; deconflict deliveries across projects, availability, and publish a forward-looking delivery schedule.
Coordinate security requirements for every delivery and document requirements before dispatch.
Plan and supervise material handling.
Manage temporary storage and coordinate movement from storage to installation sites.
Receive, inspect, and document all inbound materials.
Coordinate with client facilities, engineering, and contractors.
Maintain the delivery and receiving records.
Develop and enforce delivery SOPs covering security, safety, hazmat, OPSEC, and chain of custody.
Serve as liaison among project leads, vendors, freight carriers, the client and facilities.
Manage government-furnished and contractor-acquired equipment accountability in the designated asset management system.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI
Must successfully complete additional customer security eligibility, and/or compatibility determinations/requirements.
Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of progressive logistics, receiving, or construction material coordination experience; at least 5 years coordinating deliveries into secure Government facilities.
Demonstrated experience coordinating vendor, driver, and cargo access and inspection into complex secure facilities.
Working knowledge of material handling operations, including forklift and crane lifts, rigging, and load planning, and of OSHA construction and warehouse safety requirements.
Experience managing multi-project delivery schedules and laydown or storage space for concurrent IT and construction efforts.
Experience with receiving inspection, discrepancy reporting, and property accountability in an asset management system.
SOLE Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) or ASCM Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD).
OSHA 30-Hour Construction.
Valid driver's license and ability to obtain government vehicle operator credentials.
Physical ability to work on loading docks and/or construction sites, lift and move material up to 50 lbs, and work extended or off-hours to meet delivery windows.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Powered industrial truck (forklift) operator certification; NCCCO Rigger Level I or Signal Person certification.
OSHA 1910.178(I) Compliant certification for forklift safety.
DOT hazardous materials general awareness training or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager.
Experience with Jira or Confluence for delivery tracking and reporting.
Prior military service in logistics, supply, or transportation career fields.
