JOB SUMMARY:\n \nResponsible for analyzing and coordinating the logistical functions for products coming into and out of the mill. Works closely with Supply Chain for the life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources.\n \nSupervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment. Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.\n \nWorks closely with manufacturing, customer service, purchasing, maintenance, sales and accounting to optimize the shipment of products to our customers. Responsible for ensuring that inventory is organized and accounted for using FIFO practices.\n \nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n \nPerforms all AES requirements (Automated Export System) for export through Census Bureau/Document.\n \nPoint person for all incoming and outgoing freight.\n \nWorks closely with Freight Carriers for all incoming and outgoing loads - communicates to Purchasing and Customer Service (when KT is responsible for freight).\n \nKey member of the OTD Team for customer orders (coordinates completion with production-ensures timely shipments).\n \nAdministers OTD metrics of Freight Carriers delivering KT routed materials from Knowlton suppliers.\n \nLead receiver of goods and services coming to the mill.\n \nDrives First in First Out handling of all raw materials.\n \nOversees and directs activities of Shipping /Receiving personnel.\n \nPerforms daily cycle count activities for raw materials (possible Finished Goods & Raw Rolls) and facilitates reconciliation of any inventory inaccuracies found by Cycle counts. \n \nSupports mill-wide inventories.\n \nCoordinates activities with the Knowlton Off-Site Storage Warehouse. \n \nAudit incoming Pulp load weights on incoming raw materials. \n \nSpecifies unload/load dates of trucks and works closely with freight forwarder (carrier coordination).\n \nUtilize all customer requested websites, portals and shipping requirements.\n \nInterface with customers with Advanced Shipment Notification (ASN).\n \nUnderstands the union rules and shipping / receiving budget.\n \nCoordinates tow-motor and vehicle maintenance, including KT leased truck.\n \nEnsures cleanliness per 6S schedule and safety of all shipping, receiving and warehouse areas.\n \nEnforces all company safety policies and procedures and created policies and procedures for logistics activities.\n \nComplies with all company policies and procedures including crew member discipline and documentation.\n \nManage Vendor Certificates of Analyses.\n \nQUALITY:\n \nSupports, maintains and continually improves Knowlton Technologies, LLC Quality Management System in accordance with requirements of the IATF 16949 International Standard.
